퇴사 후 떠난 발리 여행.
온라인 여행사에서 오랜 시간 일하면서 수많은 여행지를 다뤄왔지만, 정작 나만을 위한 여행은 생각보다 쉽지 않았다. 하지만 이번 여행은 오롯이 나 자신을 위한 시간. 그리고 그중 가장 특별했던 순간은 스미냑 포테이토헤드 비치클럽에서 마주한 선셋이었다.
발리의 여러 지역 중에서도 스미냑은 트렌디한 분위기와 감각적인 비치클럽으로 유명한 곳. 그중에서도 포테이토헤드 비치클럽은 꼭 가보고 싶은 곳이었다.
여자혼자여행에서 혼자서 여기저기 가보기는 쉽지는 않지만(그것도 친구나 가족 연인들에 많이가는 공간은 특히) 그래도 남들 눈 신경쓰면 내가 가진 소중한 시간과 경험을 그만큼 못하는 거것이기 때문에 가고싶은 곳은 그냥 정면돌파했다.

After leaving my job, I embarked on a long-awaited trip to Bali.
Having worked in an online travel agency for years, I had planned countless trips for others, yet never took the time to travel just for myself. This time, it was different. It was a journey solely for me.
Among all the places I visited in Bali, the most unforgettable moment was watching the sunset at Potato Head Beach Club in Seminyak.
포테이토헤드 비치클럽: 힙한 분위기와 감각적인 음악이 함께하는 곳
비치클럽에 도착하자마자, 이곳이 왜 그렇게 많은 사람들이 찾는 핫플인지 단번에 이해됐다.
넓은 공간에 펼쳐진 선베드와 풀장, 그리고 탁 트인 바다 전망. 이미 많은 사람들이 칵테일을 마시며 선셋을 기다리고 있었다.
솔로여행에서 안타까운점은 비싸게 돈 두면서 최상의 자리를 누리지 못하는 것이다. 커플 또는 가족단위가 돈을내면 그게 단체라는게 시너지가되어 더 좋은 자리를 이용하게되는데 솔로는 항상 그 뒷자리를 사용하게된다는 안타까움을 나는 많이 경험해보았다.
그래도 어떡하는가? 경험을하기위해선 어쩔 수 없지.
다행히 내가 생각하기에 명당자리에 앉아 식사를 할 수 있어서 기분이 좋았다.
배경에는 트렌디한 음악이 흘러나왔고, 이곳만의 감각적인 분위기가 한껏 느껴졌다. 바닷바람을 맞으며 빈따을 한 모금 마시는 순간, 이런 생각이 들었다.
“이 시간이 영원히 멈췄으면 좋겠다.”
Potato Head Beach Club: The Perfect Blend of Trendy Vibes & Chill Music
The moment I arrived at Potato Head Beach Club, I immediately understood why it was such a popular destination.
Spacious sunbeds, an infinity pool, and a breathtaking view of the ocean.
People were already lounging, sipping cocktails, and waiting for the sunset.
Chill, trendy music filled the air, creating a relaxed yet stylish ambiance.
As I sat there with a cocktail in hand, feeling the ocean breeze on my skin, one thought crossed my mind:
“I wish time could stop right here.”
해변과 선셋, 그리고 비치클럽이라는 조화.
이보다 완벽한 순간이 또 있을까 싶을 정도로 모든 것이 완벽했다.
스미냑의 선셋, 황홀한 색의 변화
선셋이 다가오면서 하늘의 색이 시시각각 변하기 시작했다.
붉은빛과 주황빛이 감돌다가 점점 분홍빛으로 바뀌고, 마지막에는 보라색과 푸른빛이 섞여들었다.
그동안 많은 여행을 하면서 선셋을 봐왔지만, 이런 색을 본 적이 있었을까?
정말 눈을 뗄 수 없는 아름다움.
사진을 찍어도 이 감동을 그대로 담을 수 없을 것 같았다.
이 순간을 오래도록 기억하고 싶어서, 그저 가만히 앉아 하늘을 바라봤다.
시간이 멈춘 것 같은 기분. 그리고 이곳을 떠나고 싶지 않은 마음.
The combination of the beach, the sunset, and the beach club was simply perfect.
I couldn’t have asked for a better way to spend my evening in Bali.
The Ever-Changing Colors of the Seminyak Sunset
As the sun slowly set, the sky transformed into a masterpiece.
From deep orange to soft pink, then blending into shades of purple and blue.
I had seen many sunsets before, but never in such breathtaking colors.
It was a view that I couldn’t take my eyes off.
A moment so beautiful that no camera could truly capture its magic.
Wanting to cherish this moment, I just sat there, watching the sky change, feeling the warmth of the setting sun, and absorbing the tranquil beauty of Bali.
스미냑, 잊지 못할 여행의 순간
발리에서 머무는 동안 다양한 곳을 다녔지만, 스미냑에서의 3일 동안 가장 인상 깊었던 것은 단연 선셋이었다.
우붓과는 또 다른 느낌의 여행지.
우붓이 고즈넉한 자연과 명상의 도시라면, 스미냑은 자유로운 감각이 살아 숨 쉬는 곳.
그리고 그 자유로운 감각이 절정에 이르는 순간이 바로, 포테이토헤드 비치클럽에서 맞이한 선셋이었다.
이곳에서의 경험은 단순한 여행 그 이상이었다.
퇴사 후 떠난 이 여행이 나에게 주는 의미, 그리고 앞으로 나아갈 방향에 대해 다시금 생각해보게 했다.
그리고 그 모든 생각을 잠시 내려놓고, 지금 이 순간을 온전히 즐겼다.
바닷바람을 맞으며, 감미로운 음악을 들으며, 그리고 변화하는 하늘을 바라보며.
이곳에서 보낸 시간은 내 기억 속에 오래도록 남을 것이다.
Seminyak – A Special Travel Memory
During my stay in Bali, I explored different places, but the three days in Seminyak stood out the most.
Unlike Ubud, which offers a serene and meditative atmosphere, Seminyak carries a different kind of charm – one that is vibrant, stylish, and liberating.
If I had to pick the highlight of my Seminyak trip, without a doubt, it would be the beach club experience and the sunset.
This trip was more than just sightseeing; it was about rediscovering myself.
Quitting my job and stepping into the unknown was daunting, but at that moment, I felt at peace with my decision.
And for that brief period, I let go of all my worries and simply enjoyed the present.
Feeling the ocean breeze, listening to the music, and watching the sky transform.
This moment, this place—it will stay in my memory forever.
